I owned this rod one time. A #1. It is a good rod to an extent. I sold it off when I discovered glass rods. Despite the glamour cosmetics, I think, a same-rated TFO "Professional" will have the same feel, if not better - and waaaayy cheaper. 2 cents. ;) 8-)

KY, I've never cast this rod, so I can't give my opinion on what the feel likes. But If you look at the rod length, the longest is 7'10". The weight is down to "triple-ought" Meaning Sage really design this model for small stream. If you have the budget and don't really care to spend get this rod. But I am quite amaze with their statement

"Combine near weightlessness with a groundbreaking level of performance, and the result is our TXL Series rods. Through our exclusive Generation 5 Technology, we've built an amazingly light fly rod, while increasing strength, smoothness and sensitivity to "line feel." In angling terms, that means you'll cast better, fish more effectively and enjoy yourself more. We're especially proud to offer the TXL in the revolutionary 000, or "triple-ought" line weight".

Like I said if money is not your concern get this rod. But if you are budget conscious user, how can you "enjoy yourself more" while spending USD560 for a rod? You'll need at least Abel TR light reel to pair it with and you won't put RM30 line into it, will you? It's like putting cheap tyre into 7 series beemer. You'll put that tyre into cheap car that can still enjoyable to drive, plenty of them right? What you need to "enjoy yourself more"is getting the right tackle that won't empty your wallet. My 2 1/2 cents.
