This island is about 2 hours drive from Kota Kinabalu and another half and hour to 1 hour boat ride. Can be very wavy and watery experience.....
That was it...had enough of these buffet, karaoke, barbeque by the beach and few days without actual works. So off early in the morning checking on the flats for their abundant sting rays (pari lalat, bulus-bulus, kerong and other sandy creatures).
These island is surrounded by fringging reef. Fishing is not allowed-some said la. Some said it's okay with single hook. I have no idea mate. I started fishing early in morning where only sand flies is the only inhabitant in the island is kicking alive sucking bloods.
Fishing alone has these advantage...nobody to nag, nobody to cross your line and you'll have all the sand flies with you- now i know why it's call survivor island and not many tourist like the idea of relaxing here.
Without a proper shoes to wade on these reef flats, i limited myself to areas that i am confident with- alone in huge reef flats.
